Sullivan County Health Department offers child health services and WIC for our residents.
Child Health
Child health services begin with a prenatal case-manager monitoring high risk pregnancies and newborns. We also provide a Well-Child Clinic for children ages 6 weeks to 15 years old. At these clinics, a child is seen by RNs and a family nurse practitioner.
Available testing include:
Referrals are made to family physicians when additional care is needed.
Counseling is provided to the parents regarding nutrition, developmental stages, and behavior of their child.

WIC
Women, Infants, and Children is a nutritional program offered to pregnant and breastfeeding mothers and children to the age of five. Qualifying individuals are provided with nutritional guidance and supplemental iron-enriched foods.

Child Health Clinics (CHC) are offered the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. These clinics include a free check-up with a nurse practitioner.
